My fencepost series entitled 'Ghosts of Fences Past' consists of uniquely developed frottage based drawings using old fence posts found on my property 'Cool Creek'.

Dairy farmers moved to the Thora valley some hundred years ago. They cleared and fenced the land. They introduced grasses to feed the cattle. But as flood after flood slowly wiped out the bridges, the farmers slowly left.

These fence posts are what is left from the dairy farm that once operated at Cool Creek, now my home. 'Ghosts of Fences Past' represents the impact of a greater power upon human endeavour.
